ENglish Speaking

Training Activities for International Schools.

WHY WE DO IT.

The skill of public speaking is one of the most valued skills in the workforce today. It demonstrates knowledge, leadership, and confidence, and can propel individuals to higher positions within organisations and amongst peers. Throughout our lives we are forced to express our views in order to get ahead: university entry interviews, workplace meetings, investment sourcing, or simply convincing others of an idea we have.

Despite all this, most schools do not directly teach students how to improve as public speakers, and as a result thousands of students leave school with a fear of expressing themselves in front of their peers, or even worse, an audience of stangers. Speak Hub was founded to help students get over this fear; and to build the confidence to be more creative writers, clearer speakers, and more outstanding performers – all in the international language of English.

“Brilliant academic qualifications,
world class technical training,
status, position or experience
are all severely hindered in the absence of the ability
to express ourselves with the confidence,
respect and valuing of our own individual voices.”

– Business Magazine 2016.

“There are always three speeches,
for every one you actually gave.
The one you practiced, the one you gave,
and the one you wish you gave.”

–Dale Carnegie

“When I went to Los Angeles right after high school,
I got some acting jobs, and I never, ever wanted to be an actress!
Public speaking and acting make me want to vomit.
But I have never been nervous singing.
When it comes to public speaking, I stumble on my words, sweat, and pull at my clothes.”

– Kelly Clarkson
